Maum Diary stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, upload, or have access to your emotion records, journal entries, or personal data.
1. Overview
Maum Diary ("the App") is an emotion journal app designed to help you record daily feelings and understand your long-term emotional patterns. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how it is used.
The App requires no account or login. All journal entries, emotion logs, and tags remain on your device at all times.
2. Data Storage
All data created within the App, including emotion logs, journal entries, and custom tags, is:
Stored 100% locally on your device using AsyncStorage and MMKV
Never uploaded to any server or cloud service
Never accessible by the developer or any third party
Removed permanently when you uninstall the App
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Advertising Data
The App shows rewarded ads through Google AdMob. Rewarded ads are optional — you choose to watch an ad to unlock characters or features for 7 days. AdMob may collect:
Device advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID)
IP address (for approximate location-based ad targeting)
Ad interaction data (impressions, completions)
The App does not use banner ads or interstitial ads. No advertising data is collected when you are not watching a rewarded ad.
3.2 Device Permissions
The App may request the following device permission:
Notifications: Optional, to send you daily reminder prompts to write your journal entry. You can enable or disable this at any time in your device settings.
No other device permissions (camera, photo library, location, contacts, etc.) are requested.
4. Information We Do NOT Collect
Your name, email address, or personal identity
Your emotion records, journal entries, or tags
Account credentials (no account required)
Usage analytics or behavioral tracking
Location, contacts, or call logs
Payment or purchase information (no in-app purchases)
No other third-party analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs are integrated into the App.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not contain content inappropriate for children and requires no account registration.
7. Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete your data at any time by:
Deleting individual journal entries or emotion records within the App
Using the "Delete All Data" option in the App's settings
Uninstalling the App (removes all local data permanently)
We have no access to your data and cannot delete it on your behalf.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
